10 hints for keeping your leather bags in tip top order
- When not in use always store in the dust cover provided
- When storing, stuff the bag with plain paper/tissue to prevent creases in leather
- Keep moisture away from bag – use silica gel sachets where possible
- Never place your bag on the floor when you are out. Use a handbag hook or place on your lap or chair to minimise germs
- To keep patents bright and shiny use Mr Sheen or similar
- Keep nappa leathers supple and clean with a good quality leather conditioner
- Suedes/nubucks will benefit from a good quality spray-on protector
- Save wear and tear on you and your bag by not overloading it - 3kgs is way too much!
- Some stains and scuff marks can be removed with a gentle rub using a clean pencil eraser
- Remember ink and leather do not mix. Always retract your pen or replace cap before storing in your bag.
